Hi, it is me, Karen McAlpine visiting today from Dreaming and Creating. Since I did Faux Silk last time, I thought I would continue with the fabric theme. Today, I will be showing you how to create a Faux Linen look for your cards. This is the card we will be making today.
List of Supplies needed to complete this project:
Stamps: Blockheads Paper Arts Stamp Sets Japanese Musicians and ATC set – Years Ago
Tuxedo Black Dye Ink – Memento
Vintage Sepia Ink– VersaFine
Glossy White Cardstock
The First step is to stamp the script image from the ATC set on glossy white CS with black dye ink.
The next step is to rub the Vintage Sepia ink into the scratch marks. I used a rag, but you could use cotton balls or sponges.
Your paper will look like this after adding all the ink and trimming the edges.
Blog . When you are done looking here, head over there to check out the other projects. There will be a complete list of supplies for the additional samples too. As you will see, this is a very versatile technique.
I added tulle, ribbon, pearl stickers, and a Chinese coin for accents.
I also decorated the inside and thought you might like a peek at that. There is still room to write a nice note.
Blog to see the other examples. See you soon,
