one I like, one I'm not so sure . . .

Okay, yes, it's no secret--I REALLY like my Gelli Plate.  I wanted to do
gel plate printing, bought all the stuff to make my own plate, but procrastinated
so long that the Gelli  people took care of it for me and came out with one I
don't have to keep in the refrigerator, and it won't get moldy.  So YES, thank
you very much!

THIS I like:
More info on this at my blog:
easily amused, hard to offend.

And now, for the "I'm not so sure" part . . .

It's an easel birthday card.  The flower colors
match the bouquet that went along with it,
and I was aiming for bright and fun . . .
. . . but I'm afraid I may have hit . . . well, somewhere south of bright and fun.

The birthday girl liked it, and that's what really matters, right? Used the
alphabet set and Honey Bees set.

Only 160 more sleeps to Christmas, Woohoo ;0)
I'm still enjoying Christmas in July and have two vintage shabby chic Christmas tags to show you today!  Imagine finding some crumpled up vintage tags hidden in a forgotten attic that were lovingly hand made with found items when times were hard....that was my thought process when designing and making these!

I used the large stocking and the stockings border from Blockheads' Christmas Morning set.

clean, simple, plus black & white with Lost Coast Designs

Do you do clean and simple cards?  I do.  Not.  This is, let's see, the
second time I've actually done something you might consider CAS,
this with a fantastic pencil background from Lost Coast Designs:

CAS notecards

Does it get any more clean and simple than that?  Well, okay, probably--
I DID cut out the pencils after stamping them.  Here is a pic of the uncut
stamp:
It's pretty big, too--5.5 by 4 inches.

How fun is THAT??!  Happy Sunday!

Welcome Our New Design Team Member

Dear Fellow Blockheads,
We would like to give a big friendly welcome to our new Design Team Member, Barb Black of The Workshop at Black Ink Pad Designs.
Welcome, Barb!!!
I asked Barb to tell us a little about herself:

I've been a creative type pretty much since I birth. I've dabbled in all kinds of artistic endeavors over the years: floral design, music, sewing, quilting, writing, art. I'm a strange mix of right and left brain, but what it boils down to is that if I can get my hands on it, I'm in! The sign in my studio reads: Any Craft Will Do. There were never truer words. But, ever since I fell head over heels into the world of rubber stamping about eight years ago, I've kept myself busy making cards. I still do all other forms of artwork, but I think making cards will always be a big love of mine.

I'm a gypsy soul and have wandered many places in my life. Now that I've settled down, it's only my mind that wanders... and that is okay.  Where I've settled is Snohomish, WA, nestled between the beautiful Cascade foothills and Puget Sound. I'm fortunate to have the love and support of my wonderful mate, Steve.

Thanks, Barb!   And, check out her first DT post here.
